The National Coordinator of the PDP Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in what he described as show of impunity and desperation by the members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo state ahead of the October governorship election.

Chief Kalu who was in Ondo state recently said, “I am calling on the President, the IGP of police and other stakeholders to wade into the situation as hoodlums cannot be allowed to take over our civil rights in the name of politics to serve the interest of few elements.

“It is disheartening and an impunity of the highest order than out of desperation of some political war lords, the state of Ondo is currently being thrown into chaos ahead of elections.

“As I write, the campaign materials of Mr Jegede, the PDP governorship candidate is being destroyed while armed hoodlums have taken over the state to enforce the will of the unpopular governor. This should not be allowed to stand as the people reserves the right to decide their fate at the polls.”

Chief Kalu described the brigandage being displayed in Ondo state as unnecessary, unreasonable and must be condemned by every well meaning Nigerian.
