Industrialist Petitions CBN Over Unauthorized Deductions From His Account By Access Bank PLc

An industrialist, Comrade Prince Saviour Iche, has petitioned the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, through its Director of Consumer Protection Department, following a series of unauthorized deductions from his account by Access Bank Plc with the following particulars: Account number: 0018355867, account name: Bright Future Hope Enterprises.

According to Comrade Iche, Access Bank Plc, deducts certain amount of money from his account every month without his authority which now amounts to N4.8million, (Four million, eight hundred thousand naira only).

Comrade Iche who is the National President of the Ambassadors for Peace and Enlightenment Foundation, AMPEF, a human rights organization, stated that he had reported to the management of Access Bank PLc over this development which they acknowledged and said their audit department was looking into it and till date, they are yet to respond after over four months now, necessitating this petition.

The human rights organization had also organized a peaceful protest at the Mushin branch of Access Bank Plc where the fraudulent deduction is being perpetrated but all to no avail.

According to a copy of the petition obtained by The Claver Magazine, Comrade Iche wants the Central Bank of Nigeria to prevail on the management of Access Bank Plc to put a stop to the unauthorized deductions from his account failure of which, he would be forced to institute a legal action.

This is to officially report the management of Access Bank PLc following series of unauthorized deductions made on my account with the following details: Account Number: 0018355867, Account Name: Bright Future Hope Enterprises.

All efforts to get them to put a stop to this anomaly has proven abortive necessitating this letter for you to prevail on them to stop forthwith and to also issue a categorical statement on what should constitute  appropriate deductions by commercial banks in the interest of the general public.

Kindly take this seriously and act accordingly.
