Alimosho Youth Empowerment Forum, on Tuesday,16th April, 2024 held graduation ceremony for the participants/beneficiaries of the 7th edition of the skill aquisition programme with the theme, “Ignite Your Potential”.

The convener of the programme, Pastor Bankole Moshood, in his welcome address expressed profound gratitude to Ambassador (Dr.) Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi,CON, chairman of the SIFAX GROUP for sponsoring the programme from inception.

The programme which lasted for 12 weeks had 423 students in the following fields Catering, Hairdressing, Make Up, Barbing, Soap Making, Shoe and Bag Making, Bleach and Insecticide in this year’s mega-training.

The convener and initiator of the program, emphasised that the programme  initiated seven years ago has been able to take thousands of unemployed youth and women out of poverty and empowered them to be self-sufficient through their chosen trade.

According to him, he was worried by youth unemployment leaving them roaming the streets when they could be engaged in profitable skills that can sustain them and their families.

“So, those who attended the training were well groomed and we can see in there faces. This program has made me a fulfilled man, I am always happy to see the impact this programme has made in the lives of the beneficiaries over the years,” he stated.

Pastor Bankole, recounted how the program has positively turned around the fortune of those who have participated in the previous years through the annual sponsorship by SIFAX GROUP.

He commended the Sifax Group for consistently sponsoring the programme and prayed that the next edition would receive more and more sponsorship and prayed God to continue to sustain SIFAX GROUP and its staff.

The convener also disclosed that start-up packs would be presented to the graduands today courtesy of SIFAX GROUP.

He once again commended the Sifax Group chairman, Ambassador (Dr.) Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi,CON, for giving back to society through the sponsorship of the programme over the years.
