In commemoration of Workers’ Day, Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has urged the Federal Government to aggressively support Micro, Small and Medium enterprises to be able to create jobs.
In his verified Twitter account, Mr. Obi who possesses very impressive credentials and appears most qualified and prepared to rescue Nigeria from its current socio-economic problems said the micro, small and medium enterprises have the capacity to create jobs to effectively tackle the challenge of unemployment in the country if properly supported by the Federal government.
He described the micro, small and medium enterprises as the engine for economic growth as it is the case in other developed countries.
“In commemoration of #WorkersDay, I urge the Nigerian government to aggressively support micro, small and medium enterprises, which are the engine of job creation, so that they can effectively contribute to reducing the unemployment rate, as is the case in other nations,” he stated.
